What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone

I made a change that’s really making a difference! I’ve started weighing in daily, every morning as soon as I wake up.i used to think it would mess with my mind seeing the scale fluctuate but it’s actually helping me understand my body better and it’s changes. It also keeps health at the forefront of my mind thinking about stepping on the scale the next morning. As the quote goes, “what gets measured, gets managed!”

That actually sounds like a good idea, I think I will do that everyday for this round and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for sharing as well , and keep up that positive energy.

Jessica F.

I do this too! I find it helps me see how I did the day before and change things the next day. For example, I can see if I’ve eaten too many carbs the day before by how much my weight fluctuated

I’m down, consistently down and heck, that’s a pretty awesome feeling.
Sometimes things don’t work out as planned but that doesn’t mean we throw in the towel. Working on staying consistent just might be what I need to catch up these next few months.
Happy Monday everyone!!" by Rayne

Good luck reaching your goal of 10% in Round 5!

I have not won a single round in this dietbet but I am down 17.8 pounds. I hate not winning but the loss is amazing.

Way to go! I’m super proud of you for keeping on despite not “winning”!

Danielle B.

Keep going hun. Do your best and depending how much you have to lose you may still be in it for next month and the final amount, which is the most.

If not, at least you've lost weight and that's the biggest reason to celebrate.

  • Well, I was afraid this day would come - and it did.
I failed, crash & burned on this round.

I'd like to blame a lot of things, but at the end of the
day its me that has to respond and make things happen.

I pray for strength and wisdom, but there is no overcoming
poor decisions. Perhaps a good kick in the #*%@ will be good
for me and help motivate me to the goal I want and need.

So, for all of you who lost this round, please join me in a renewed
commitment to not only getting back on track, but staying there!

To all the winners, congratulations on a well earned victory!

SassyChick

I need help as well. I caught bronchitis and was out sick for an entire week. So I didn't move out of bed, ate like crap, gained 5 pounds and am now super unmotivated. I'm feeling better, but very weak. How to turn this around before I've gained back all my weight???

- Slim -

  • Well SassyChick, you already took the first step by
    posting what you just posted!

Next step, make a plan. we all need a plan, no one
hits the target without a plan!

We're here together, we're in this together. You
folks are simply awesome and I appreciate you
    sooooooo much!

We failed this month. That is the past - lets
focus on the Round #5 victory as our future!

Well, I did not even come close to my weigh in, as a matter of fact I’ve gained a couple of pounds. It’s okay though because all this walking at my security job the past couple months has made things more pleasantly shaped . Like my backside and my legs. They are definitely stronger and more muscular. But I am -7.3% body fat overall so that’s a plus. And my blood sugars have drastically improved which is fantastic. I’m not complaining and I’m going to just keep doing what I’m doing with maybe a couple of minor tweaks. Hope everyone else is doing good, and if not, just keep at it and it’ll work itself out in the end. Always positive!!! Bring on the next round.

It's great that you see non scale improvements. Sometimes the scale lies. Great attitude. Next month, here you come!

Carol F.

Thank you slim, Tom and Mom. Just got to keep the Always positive, never give up attitude. And yes some gentlemen have noticed my changes.

Not only did I make my weigh in today but the body fat % on my scale said 15.8% for the first time in who knows when. I’d like to get it down to 10% where it read until I was about 28 (I’m 40 now). It’s a loooong way to go but I believe it setting your goals high. Good luck to everyone on their weigh ins today!

Not making my weight goal this time. My own fault for not exercising all week. Could maybe make it by tomorrow, if I canceled my plans to go out with friends, but life is more important than the number on the scale. Good luck everyone.

I’m exactly one pound away. I blame the binge I thoroughly enjoyed on Thursday after my biopsy. Obviously, that wasn’t a healthy or wise choice, but I’m not giving up. I have never missed a weigh in goal, and I have no intention of breaking my winning streak!

- Slim -

Sadly, I'm with you Jeanne. we'll just have to
refocus, recommit and make things happen!
