I am someone who gets defeated by boredom and stress, too. So here's what I have been trying to do, and it's MOSTLY working. We all have our moments, lol. I dedicate a day to food prep. I know how hard that is with a family and life and a career-- I absolutely do. But I have made it a priority like my gym time and it's working. I have a few go-to recipes like chicken lettuce wraps that I can make in bulk and freeze (there's a recipe group you might check out, it's got some yummy healthy ideas) and just add a flavor (buffalo, Asian, BBQ, taco, etc) to the mix and it's a meal. Plus, fun to eat for kids b/c they get to use their hands and make lettuce tacos. I have a 3yr old, so I have her help me. She "chops" things, measures ingredients, helps me package finished products into Tupperware etc. I bought disposable metal containers and made lasagna rolls (a healthy version), spaghetti squash mac and cheese, chicken and roasted veggies, etc so all I have to do is come home, pop it in the oven to heat it, and in 30 minutes it's dinner. Or, if I know I'll be late, I put it in the fridge to thaw so I can microwave it (in a different container, obvi). The food prep has taken some of the stress off of me (mostly in the form of guilt at feeding my kid too many Kid Cuisines and chicken nuggets out of time restraints) and taken some of the freedom of choice out of the equation too. For me, if I wait until I'm hungry to decide what to eat, I give in to cravings more often-- and those hunge

I ran out of characters, but I also wanted to say that I notice if I have done a good job drinking water I am less likely do eat like a toddler. I drink a litre of water on my way to work every day-- it's a 30 minute commute and I'm usually thirsty in the morning so it isn't hard for me to do, and it sets up my whole day. I find I'm less hungry when I eat breakfast and I make a better choice. I've read that hunger is often confused for thirst, and I think that can be VERY true for me. Anyway, I hope you find something useful in my long long ramble, and I wish you lots of luck! We all fall down. Just remember to get back up :) You can do this!!
