I can relate; I have gone on binges of an evening as well. It's like a mania; after it's done you wake up and go "what did I do".....Good topic interested to hear from some who have some ideas that will help.

Biking Syl

The main thing for me is keeping crap out of the house. If it's not there, I probably won't go buy some. If it's in the pantry, it's gone. Another important thing for me: decide on a replacement snack. I can have unlimited amounts of... (pick your favorite), but no crap food. Baby carrots? Grapes? ...? To get away from sugar, I allowed myself unlimited fruit/spinach smoothies and unlimited nuts/seeds and raisins. The latter is not really low-cal but the glycemic disaster is nowhere near the effect of sugary snacks. It actually worked. The spinach (or any kind of leafy greens) seemed to make a big difference, too. I read that lack of nutrients can cause cravings - and though my diet was pretty healthy, I was missing leafy greens and nuts/seeds. Of course there are plenty of other reasons for snack attacks, but it was a big first step to reduce the cravings this way.
