I identify with a lot of what you've been through. For me, the primal style of eating (paleo with high fat dairy) has been truly life changing. It took about 3 weeks for my body to adapt, but now I don't have cravings, don't even want to binge eat, and am losing weight steadily, despite being 46 years old (after 40 my metabolism slowed way down until now).
