Goal weight. Wow. You're at goal weight! Frickin' awesome. Just awesome. Congratulations, NewMe! NOW ... just don't loosen up TOO much, at first, 'cause I've been there before and learned that one's 'maintenance' level is really only just BARELY above the 'losing weight' level. Especially at first, since your body's gotten used to the lower calorie intake. So take it easy, keep on doing whatever you've been doing 'cause clearly it WORKS. Either cut back your exercise only a little or eat just a LITTLE bit more, 'til you get a feel for how the scale reacts. And then ... GLORY IN YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENT!!! SO cool!

Just checkin' in to see how things are going for you ... maintenance is SUCH a challenge to hang onto, after such a prolonged effort to get down SOOOO close to one's goal weight. You'll knock it, though. :)

NewMe

Things are going great. Had to travel a lot for work recently but really have changed the way I'm eating overall. Thanks for the encouragement.

COHikerGirl

Cool. Traveling is SUCH a knock on the side of the head, when you're working like this to get where you want to be. But, once you get it figured out (how to travel AND still manage the food/workout thing), it seems like you're set for life. If you can do it THEN, you can do it i regular life SO much easier. Good luck, girl!

Don't worry about a temporary little gain, that's in the normal course of things ... you know how to do this, OBVIOUSLY from your trendline, and you'll keep on truckin' down all the way to your goal, I have NO doubt. :)

NewMe

Thanks for the encouragement. I am pretty proud of my accomplishment but its a slippery slope. And traveling is the most dofficult aspect for me because il out of my routine. But I'm back to my regular program. Thanks again.

COHikerGirl

Well, hey, as long as that 'slippery slope' keeps us slipping downward over the long run, right? ;D lol Traveling is DEFINITELY a challenge. Sometimes it's actually a help, in that it gets you away from all the little snackie things we keep at home for ourselves. But restaurant eating is anything but helpful, unless you figure out how to pick out the healthier choices (and sometimes there aren't any). GREAT that you're back to your regular program, and you'll knock it outta the park this next round, for sure. :)
