I've done a lot of reading, and not all thyroid meds work the same. I'm on Armour Thyroid, and it's worked great. Its a bioidentical form. Might be worth looking at different meds...

It's important to follow the Dr.'s orders. I am also on thyroid medicine and could't imagine life without it. You would be more tired and gain more weight if you stopped it. Some people can have serious side effects such as hair loss, dry skin, constipation, sleeping frequently, and depression if their thyroid problem is not properly diagnosed. I sign up for Diet bet just to lose the 4%. My goal is to keep it off. If I gain some, I join again! It keeps me accountable. Good luck. :)
