Today I woke up and hit 17 lbs lost since January 1st.... it's unbelievable for me! I've tried things in the past and they really haven't been sustainable.

More so, I am officially "overweight" instead of "obese" per the BMI scale. (I know it's a ridiculous scale, but I'll take the win!

I love Yoga With Adriene! I never feel like exercising in the winter and I’ve been trying (unsuccessfully) to convince myself to go to the gym. But no matter how lazy I’m feeling, I can always convince myself to do yoga at home. I’ve started Adriene’s very first 30 day yoga challenge to help me reach my goal. Join me! Oh man, I used to do her workouts! I kind of forgot about her, but I think I might get back into them. They’re kind perfect to two in the winter time. Something about them feels really cozy.

I love Adriene too! Amazing library of yoga practices and I also have done a good number of her '30 Days of Yoga' series. I can't believe the world has access to her great resources for free!

Watch sugar intake. And don’t get discouraged!
You can do body measurements as well (hip, waist, arm, thigh circumference). Sometimes they will be changing even when the scale is not.

Water, water, water and walking 30 to 45 minutes 4 or 5 days a week helps me at 58:grin:. Good luck to you

Welcome All and best wishes on this challenge!!!

I’m in full fledge diabetic range and now on medication. I have a dream of losing 15-20 pounds and totally getting off the meds.
I went all of last year without even ONE sweet treat (ice cream, cookies, cake, pies, etc). Super proud of myself!!! But of course substituted my sugar cravings for breads and other carbs and basically stayed same weight and no blood sugar improvement. After going on a three day sweet eating binge I am ready to tackle this.

Good luck with this game and with finding fun and healthy sugar-substitutions! I’m a type 2 that used to be on Metformin and it’s a daily challenge to not give into temptation in an effort to keep that A1C down. You can do it!!

Thank you Mindy and Lynette for the words of encouragement. It is really awesome to see that you've both had success by sticking to a plan. Yes, Metformin is what I'm currently on and I am convinced it contributes to me feeling exhausted. I want off of it! We can do this together.
