    Here’s my end-of-the-game pep talk😊

    I hope all of you had success! That could be making your goal weight, making a non-scale goal, or just getting back on the horse after falling off and getting dragged along for a while.

    Let us know how you did!

    And if you make your goal this month, Hooray!
    If not, find some success you can feel good about and get back to being a healthier you :-)


    Here are some tips for making your weigh-out goal when you’re soooo close (just for a few days!):
    It’s often about water retention, so…
    Don’t eat out
    Drink more water
    Cut waaay back on salt
    Don’t do your hardest workout right before (24hrs-ish) you weigh. Well worked muscles hold more water. Very healthy, but will make the scale go up.
    Eliminate all processed foods
    Additional non-water related things to try…
    Cut back or cut out carbs
    A few days (or longer non-eating periods) of intermittent fasting
    Get enough sleep!!
    Change something in your exercise routine
    Eat low-bulk food before weighing
    Reduce stress or do something good for yourself

I love all these tips, thanks! I hit my goal this morning, yay! Now I must maintain it for a couple days. Eating out is the worst for me personally. Every time my weight goes up by about 4 pounds just from that alone. I guess it's good I like my own cooking better.

  • Good morning and welcome to work it Wednesday! Regardless of what your goals look like for today, take 15 minutes to stretch your body!

    Personally I forget to stretch on a regular basis and then when I do I remember why it’s needed. I need some guidance on what to do rather than trying to figure out what needs stretching. I love this guide and also use a couple fitness apps with great stretching programs. FitOn is my top because it has a free option but I also use Aaptiv for a paid option.

I started fasting (eating only vegan) 4 days ago and I seem to be +0.7 kg up. I don't eat more, it's not salty, and the calories are much less. What is going on?

  • Good morning and welcome to the last week of the game!

    As a group we’ve lost 860 lbs! That’s amazing and I’m so proud of all the progress you’ve made!

    This weekend a cold took me out! I love watching my kiddo play volleyball, but so far there have been 3 members of my family that have been taken out by this cold. Curse you cooties!

    For real though, since I was down with a cold, I made sure to not push my body and instead focused on my hydration and what I was eating. I discovered I love a solid apple dip made from peanut butter and vanilla Greek yogurt. Lower calories than just peanut butter but excellent protein with the yogurt.

    This week I’m taking it slow but deliberate. Keeping it steady is the way to win the game and keep it sustainable.

  • The scale isn't moving but I have been. Trying not to get discouraged. Gave up my runs this week for hikes with my boys, hiking in Asia is more like stair climbing. But the views were amazing. Don't get to see a waterfall like this everyday. And yes, we went for a quick swim.
