Hi! New to joining a group here and decided I'd give this one a go. I have a history of losing weight and gaining it back as so many others do. I'm determined this time to make it a permanent loss so I'm tackling it a bit differently and slower. I lost 6 pounds on my own before starting my first dietbet and then 11.5 during my first dietbet which ended the end of January. I am doing another kickstarter this month and I'm down another 2.5 pounds so far. So, my total lost so far is 20.0. I have at least another 80 to lose. I'm getting married in October. My fiance and I are hoping to be able to have a baby after that. I am already 38 so I am on a mission to get as healthy as I can to improve our odds! Happy losing!!

Michelle, I am at a similar place in life. I have probably lost 1000 lbs and gained it back over the course of my life. I am now 39 and trying to make permanent changes. I am taking better care of myself mentally and emotionally and it's starting to manifest in how I treat my body. I am new here, but it's working really well for me so far. Even though I'm not losing weight as quickly as I would like to, I don't feel like I'm suffering as much as I sometimes do when I am "dieting." I keep telling myself I can eat anything I want to eat, but if I want to look and feel different then I have to make different choices than I have in the past. Congrats on your upcoming marriage!

Yay Liesl! I have been struggling the last couple of weeks after hitting a deer with my car and dealing with pain and letting that derail me a bit. I needed to hop on here today and see your message to remind me of what I'm shooting for! Thanks Lisa! You can do this too! It is never too late to give ourselves a fresh start. Amy N, I love that!!! If you want a change, you have to change your choices! That way though, you still know that it is your choice, not that you are constantly depriving yourself of things. Instead, you are CHOOSING healthy. Love that!!
