Had a good but not that productive Sunday. It's been pouring down rain here so I did my cardio on the treadmill today. Wore my weighted vest and "hiked" at 8% incline. Only did 25 minutes and just over a mile but glad I did something! Was feeling pretty lazy most of the day. I think it is the dreary weather and getting over being sick still. But tomorrow is a new day and a new week! I'm sure it will be a great one! Hope you all had a good weekend as well!

Where did you get your weighted vest? How much weight is it (or can you change the amount of weight)? I haven't tried one but I was thinking about incorporating it on the treadmill.

Mine was actually a gift but I am sure sporting good stores like Big 5 or Dicks Sporting would have them! Mine is adjustable with little 1lb bean bag type pouches to take out. It is a 20lb vest. I like it for when I am just walking. I don't jog with it.

Hi DaisyGal! I liked your post and decided to join. I like smaller groups to be able to, as you stated, which is to share ideas, ask questions and motivate. Like you, I have a strong background in weightlifting, kickboxing, yoga, spinning and have all the knowledge about nutrition but just haven't applied it to lose my weight. I've just gotten lazy! I'm a busy person like everyone else but use that as an excuse.

Hello StrongNativeMom! Thanks for joining my group and posting! I could definitely get some tips on yoga.. I do not stretch enough and I am usually stiff from lifting. I should add some yoga into my routines! And maybe some kickboxing for some stress relief! :)

Hello Diet Bet members! There are already some great groups out here but I guess I wanted to start one more just for fun! :) This group isn't specific to any topics just a place to throw out questions to others (as the group hopefully gains members...), or to share ideas that have helped you succeed in your goals. Most of us are here to lose weight so I'm sure a lot of the posts will be concerning diet, exercise, ways to stay on track and keep motivated. But feel free to share anything that you think we might enjoy! I'm entered into a transformer and 2 kickstarters. I have a good amount of weight I want to lose. I have a pretty strong background in lifting weights and exercise and I have nutrition basics down, but I've just let myself make excuses. I know emotional eating (both happy and stressed) is my biggest weakness. I am looking for some good motivation from others and I will do my best to help you all too! Here's to a great 2017 and beyond!!! :)
