Last weekend, 5 of my friends and I committed to do Jillian Michael's 30 day shred and hold each other accountable every day by texting "I just got shredded" when we finished each day's workout.  We did it together on Saturday and Sunday.   For some of my girlfriends, they had never done a plank or a push-up, but they have stuck with it now for 7 days.  It has helped me immensely to know that my friends are waiting to see my daily text that I finished.   Most of us are doing additional workouts, but this has been a great way to start my day AND see my friends get moving, too.   (Not bad for a bunch of middle-aged women!)

Yesterday, one of the ladies asked if we could start holding each other accountable for what we eat each day by keeping a daily written journal of the food we eat and posting it where the others see what we ate each day.  One lady figured she might not eat something if she knew she had to write it down AND share it with others.  We're still trying to figure out the best way to do this without spending a ton of time recording and posting, but I know this will help me on my journey to health and fitness to have my friends keeping me accountable.  I don't know how long they all will stick with it, but I'm going to stick with this for the entire 30 days.
