I had to put a puppy down (16 years old) a few years ago and my husband asked me why I keep the box with ashes by the computer........................because she was a really wonderful friend, I miss her everyday even though I have new 4 legged friends and family, and she still listens to me! Sorry for your loss Valerie - they are big ones, I know!
