Today I finished my first dietbet. I did not win but I did lose almost 4 lbs. I am happy with that becus it was the jumpstart I needed. I decided to jump into another bet right away because I wanted to see if it would help me contine to be consistent. What I learned from my first bet that I will apply to this bet:

1. The little choices do matter - There were a handful of times that I thought it wouldn't matter if I had a beer or 2 and guess what...it did! I realized that it caused me to snowball into eating a ton more!

2. Don't skip meals - this also caused me to overeat and feel horrible!

3. Eat every 3 hours don't skip snacks - I found this to be the most important so that I wasn't starving by supper and pigged out. 

4. FInd a workout I like and do it as much as possible during the week without dying! I started insanity at the end of the last bet and although I missed about 1 workout a week, I felt so much better and it was a great way to tone up and get confidence and not want to overeat. 

5. If I have a bad meal, don't stress, continue on my day and keep eating balanced meals, don't skip a meal. 

6. Don't ever give up, the only way to lose is to give up and not keep trying.

7. Keep the big goal in mind...I want to be a certain weight by my 30th birthday in a few months and I konw I can do it if I just keep trying. 

8. Have fun and don't get obsessed! I want to be healthy and energetic for my life and my family and kids. keep moving forward even on the tired days and play with them!
