Hello,

Thought I'd write a little...

So in the past week we completely uprooted our lives in the city to move to the country by my family. It has been a great success and I'm loving the slower pace of life. My kids seem to be enjoying it too. Since I moved here on Saturday I haven't done an actual workout video, but I've been getting my 10,000 steps in each day. We walk so much and with all the unpacking it hasn't been a problem. My goal with Dietbet is to get closer to reaching my ultimate weight goal, however I know very well from the past when I restrict too much I easily gain back all my hard work at the end of a challenge. So for this challenge I haven't been paying attention to the scale too much. I am surprised I'm down weight because I don't feel like I've been restricting myself, just focusing on trying to stay within my calorie goal on myfitnesspal. There have been some days I don't eat a lot of healthy food, but I'm trying to lose this weight for good, so I actually am happy with myself for taking baby steps and not getting to crazy. I know someone gave me the advice on not to get to caught up or you'll gain it all back. I'm taking that to heart because I'm so sick of yo-yoing. I'm a country girl now and I like my dairy, I like a beer on the weekends and I'm finally realizing that portion control is the key. It's hard to say no to a 2nd or 3rd beer or an extra serving of something, but it's totally worth it. I'm loving being able to learn how to cook and than being able to eat it without feeling bad is amazing. This has been fun so far, not looking to become a huge winner here, just a winner for myself by learning small daily ways to not overeat and get my exercise in while being with my 2 and 3 year old.

Anyways, hope you're all doing great, looking forward to continuing on...
