After whining about my lack of motivation yesterday I have seemed to found a bit of it today. I did my eccentric upper workout today without fussing at all! My cat loved it too. He's very into the yoga mat, so I ended up tring to do push-ups over him.  He kept rolling around when I went to get a picture, so it came out fuzzy. It was super cute in real life though, I promise.

This time I made myself do "real" push-ups as much as possible and stay on my toes for at least 4 reps. I can't go down very far yet, but I am making progress. To get a greater range of motion (and because it was hard!) I went down onto my kneeds to finish out each set.  I also used my heavier hand weights. so I definitely upped the ante on this first day of the second week of the second month! Woo!  I learned that doing "real" push-ups makes it harder for me to breath properly. I kept catching myself holding my breath. I will need to work on that one.

After some helpful feedback yesterday I've been working on some visualization exercises and started my morning off with that. I'm not some magical motivated machine now, but I do feel much better today than I did yesterday. I'm definitely going to keep experimenting with visualization and I need to get to a point where I always feel like I'm working with my body, rather than against it which, if I'm not careful, seems to be my default setting. I now would to put inspiring things up around me to keep me focused on what I really want out of life. I'm not sure why I haven't done that yet. Project time!  How much do you want to bet the cat will involve himself in that too?
