Two weeks ago, my husband started getting really ill.  We thought maybe he had a bit of the nasty stomach bug that seems to be going around.

Him being the stubron person he is, refused to go to the doctor until the Monday before Thanksgiving because we were supposed to leave for his mom's house in Florida on Tuesday.

Next thing I know, he sends me a text that they think it's his gallbladder and he had to go for an ultrasound that afternoon.  So, I left work early so I could drive him so in case he had to have surgery, we didn't have 2 cars at the hospital.

Had the ultrasound, went back to his dr, she said for sure it was the gallbladder, but all the surgeons were double booked due to the holiday.  So it would be Wednesday before he could even see a surgeon.  She kept hinting that we should just go to the emergency room.

Hubby being very stubron, we waited til Wednesday to see the surgeon.  Surgeon expected him to wait until this Thursday, another week!!!, to have it removed.  I felt so bad for the nurse that came in to tell him that.  He can't eat.  All he can have is liquids.  The man doesn't need to lose any weight and has lost about 9 pounds in the past week.  He flat out told her that wouldn't work and that he hasn't been to work and can't work in this condition.  She looked at him and said "Well, who put you out of work?  You haven't been written out of work?".  He just looked at her like "are you KIDDING me???".  She immediatley stepped out and went back to the surgeon and it's scheduled for tomorrow.

It's been a long week and half, but thankfully, I have not given in to my normal stress eating at times like this.  The scale was up slightly this morning, but I think that is more me not drinking enough water than anything.

Now back to my normal walking - I have been so focused on him that I haven't gotten all my steps this past week.
