You may also want to check if your scale has that auto-memory feature. It tricks you into thinking that it's accurate to less than an ounce, but it really just remembers what the weight said from the last time you stepped on it, so it'll keep saying the exact same number. Try resetting it by taking the batteries out or by stepping on your scale while holding something heavy.
