Comparing Myself to Others

Everyone has their own body and journey. I have a childhood friend with crazy fast metabolism. She's always been thin and can eat whatever she wants. Even when she broke her leg and was sedentary for months, when she gained weight she looked normal weight, but slightly curvy. As for me, I go to Weight Watchers meetings. When I first walked in I felt so embarrassed. I felt like I was the only one with almost 200 pounds to lose and every else maybe 50 pounds or 5-10 pounds. I could have lost just 1 pound in a week and compared myself to other ladies who weigh considerably less than me and lost the same... and I was disappointed in myself. Then, I realized, a loss is a loss. I worked hard and I know that when I weigh in with a rep they would only say positive and encouraging words and that's what I needed to say to myself. It's my own journey and story. Whether I lose the weight slow or fast, I'm doing this and it's going to be okay. I just want to be the best I can be. Do what you feel is best for yourself and your body. This is your story. Stay positive. I also struggle with this. I come on this website for encouraging words and thoughts and well. You can definitely do this. Good luck =)
