We have had no Internet access at my house, except for my cell phone, for over 4 years due to finances. It's an inconvenience in some ways, but a blessing in others. We also live in the middle of nowhere, so we have to drive a distance to get some wifi. It is nice to not be a slave to email and Facebook though!
