Totally water weight! I find when I'm sore a day or to after a higher intensity workout that I get a weight bump. I think it's just the swelling in my muscles while they try to repair. It goes away with the soreness. Also I find just the presence of a water bottle makes me drink more and once my body gets used to drinking a lot of water I actually feel more thirsty
