Hello everyone.  Today was my 3rd day on DietBet.  My goal is/was to eliminate sugar but I am finding that it will be harder than I thought.  Today I was not on my best game as I went out with my boyfriend last night to a comedy club and I had 2 glasses of wine kind of late.  They had a 2 beverage minimum at the club and instead of drinking $5 water I had wine instead.  I made this choice, well I guess because I wanted wine.  Went to bed kind of late for a week night and had to get up early for work, as usual.  I didn't sleep that great because of the wine or else I didn't get enough sleep.  Anyway I had a weak moment and had a piece of cake that someone brought to our office a couple days ago.  The cake has been there for a couple days and I didn't have any while everyone else did (the big cake was brought to work on my very first day of diet bet!)  But I do think I made some progress because I had the cake only when there was a tiny last piece remaining.  This is great for me because if I had had it when it first arrived I would've had 4 pieces.  There are certain foods which I just don't have control over.  So at least I had a tiny piece and there was no more to be had after that.  This is progress for me.  I'm trying to detox sugar and I find that my body just craves it!  I think in this stage if I allow myself to just have a little this is dangerous for me because it sets off my suagr addiction!  But I know that if I don't get enough sleep or maybe had 1 too many glasses of wine the night before this weakens my resolve.  But overall I feel I am making progress.  If nothing else this is fun (kinda) and I get to write about it.  That is kindof cool.  A good night of sleep and tomorrow is a new day!
