Today is yet another day 1 for a Whole 30.  I've done two of these in the past, and completed about 3 weeks on each of them.  With the last one, I continued with low to no sugar, very few refined carbohydrates, and very little in the way of milk products.  I felt great, and my arthritis was minimal.  About a month ago, that all went out the window when I was put on a soft food diet.  That meant applesauce, soups without hard chunks, yogurt, pudding, jello, etc.  That continued for 2 weeks.  That was enough to bring back all the nasty sugar cravings that I enjoyed not having.

So, here I am today, full of sugar cravings, but committed to this Whole 30 once again.  Menu planning has been completed for the next two weeks, and the food is in the refrigerator for the next week.  My husband is on board with this, and I just need to gently remind him every now and then of my limitations and what I can and can't have.

The Whole 30, for me, is so much more than weight loss.  It is about feeling better overall in my body, seeing the pain go away, and resetting my body to not crave the unhealthy.
