So today I decided to start preparing for the 5k races i have coming up. I have 2 in november a week apart. One for the turkey trot and one for the jingle bell run that we hold her. I havent ran a race in over 2 years now since i got hurt, i gained alot of weight since I got hurt in roller derby and have been taking my time getting back up to par. I will probably be never able to get back into roller derby though as I still have a continual battle with my body of having no feeling in my left side mainly pins and needles about 90% of the day. the drs seem to keep telling me its carpal tunnel but its not as i have a severe pain in my shoulder blade as soon as i lay down , when that pain is there i instantly have no feeling in my hand. I am just getting told the same thing from several drs that the pain and numbness i am feeling is not possible in where i am saying it hurts as there are no nerves that start in my back and run down that if I had no feeling it would start in my neck not my thoracic spine. well i am insisting they are wrong, this has been getting worse over the past 2-3 years now and is becoming intolarable, i manage a day to day life style but i am just dreading the day I can no longer get dressed, tye shoes, hold anything in my hands at all because I feel that this day is unfortunatly going to come sooner than i think. I have been seeing a personal trainer to work on my back muscles to stregnthen and get the lump in my back worked out but it doesnt seem to be touching it. I have lost over 24lbs in about 6 months and still losing weight but it doesnt seem to let up. Guess all i can do is keep what I am doing in hopes that one day I will no longer have this pain :/
