If I hear you, your doc doesn't want you abusing your knee for 2 weeks. Do you have access to a swimming pool. The crawl stroke can be done without kicking. It is an incredibly good upper body workout. Aqua aerobics is a lower intensity water based workout which might not aggravate the knee, so you might want to try it. There are a number of upper body weight lifting type exercises which can be done with minimal or no impact on the lower body. Find a gym, find a trainer. Don't give up because you can't use your knees for a week or two.

I'm a member of a triathlon club, so we also have weekly swimming trainings. The doc told me that if i HAD to do something, swimming would be best option, but that I had to be careful not to overdo it.
I guess that's the problem, I love training in group, but I probably push myself too much to keep up with the others...
But training on my own is so boring :D
