I did very little exercise last week--walked 2.5-3 miles twice--which meant that my DietBet success or failure hinged mostly on my diet. After I stopped crying intermittently about the marathon, I wanted to eat more. I think I was over on calories Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. YIKES.

On Thursday morning, I went to the doctor in the morning. I hadn't yet eaten breakfast, but I weighed in at 136.0 lbs--only a pound over my goal weight! Of course, I don't know how different that scale is from the one I initially weighed in on, so it could be more or less than that.

Then, the weekend came, and I acted like a crackhead when it came to my DietBet.

Richard came to town on Saturday, and we went out to dinner. Even without eating much, 1200 calories does not go far when you aren't exercising!

Sunday was the worst day, though. I ate a Rice Krispy treat before church, and that was the only reasonable choice I made. One of Richard's classmates had us over for lunch, and I drank two homebrews (delicious, full-flavor beers weighing in at a minimum of 200 calories a pop--CRAP) and ate a gluttonous amount of jalapeno cream cheese-stuffed deer meat wrapped in bacon. And homemade creamed potatoes, so I'm sure they were full of butter.

For dinner, we met his dad, sister, and brother-in-law for dinner, and I had two glasses of wine, what looked like a cup and a half of chicken and sausage gumbo, and a very small amount of my pad thai entree...I was full by the time my meal came!

So, with two weeks to go, I'm really stepping up my exercise game. I just got back from a 3 mile run/walk, and I'm planning to go out tonight. I am giving blood tomorrow, so I need to exercise in the morning before I donate.  I've got a 10 mile run on the calendar for either Friday or Sunday, and I am looking forward to that!
