Kimberly D.

I've had a rough past few days, and I'm having to majorly correct my behavior through exercise. I try to drink water throughout the day. It makes me less hungry later.

Gin

I drink water. My favorite way is over crushed ice with a wedge of lemon squeezed into it. I'm trying to work up to a gallon a day. (Minimum 8 glasses or 64 ounces.) If I want a snack - I'll try cinnamon flavored chewing gum. It'll kill the sweet tooth thing. If I'm desperate - I'll have celery dipped in hot sauce. It's mostly water and I'm not getting a lot of hot sauce - just the flavor. Or eat salad greens with a spritz of lemon. I limit coffee to 2 cups of half-caf in the morning. I think coffee does something to me to make me swell or retain fluids. I feel better when I limit it. It also helps to distract yourself. Get busy and you forget about the hunger. Of course it's best to eat your recommended minimum calories (1200 for women and 1500 for men). And - make sure to get good sleep at night.

My mother is the WORST. I have to remind myself that it's just what she does. She actually doesn't mean any harm but it's so ingrained, "offer loved ones food repeatedly" that she often doesn't even realize she's doing it and I have to remind her frequently. Even though your friends know that you're trying to lose weight, have you let them know exactly how their offers affect you? It may be time to drag out the ol' "I statements." I'm suspecting that some of them may not realize the impact they're having. Of course, I could always be wrong and they're just sabotaging assholes. ;)

Gin

I've learned to just smile and say "No. Thank You". No need for an explanation. This is your diet - health and fitness plan. Don't let anyone take it away from you. Have your soldiers stand guard at the gate! I mean that in the most pleasant way possible.... No. Thank you. Thanks for offering - but No. (Are you sure?) Yes. I'm sure. I WILL take a glass of water if you have some. (Let them give you something. Sometimes it shuts them up.)
Bad day :(

Have it, but make it yourself and healthier :)
I ALWAYS have cravings for those things and its easy to give in, but then I remember there are so many recipes I can make with healthier foods!
This day will be done and tomorrow will come and those cravings will have been forgotten and tomorrow you wont feel so bad because you never had it.
Good luck! I know its tough, but you can do it :)

Hey drew we all have those days when we want to eat our feelings. When I wasn't healthy I would eat eat and eat because I thought it made me feel better. Now that I realize the damage it truly does when I'm down I exercise. I throw in Hip hop abs or some exercise dvd. Sometimes I even go for a walk in the park. Exercise usually works and makes me feel better afterwards.
MyFitnessPal told me no, and I listened.

Honeycrisp = my absolute favorite apple. I've got a few that I intend to quarter and eat with a dab of peanut butter!

Congrats on finishing insanity. That was the first workout I did. It was very hard. I figured if I could not only commit but finish the whole 60 days I could do anything.
