My problem???

CeAnn, I Know what you're going through! It is Hard! My battle changed when the cold weather arrived and every time I walked into the grocery store the last two months, the CANDY has been displayed in every place that it shouldn't be. It basically surrounded the produce section like a fortress wall! There's no ignoring it because of the bright packaging. It's easy to ignore when it's confined to a certain section of the store. I'm shouting, "GIVE ME A BREAK!" Someday I'll accidentally do it out loud.

I have had to completely alter my cookbooks - gone are all the Taste of Home unhealthy recipes, replaced with 'clean eating' ones. I'm fortunate in the sense that when I consume sugar and white flour products, I have a bad reaction. I not only bloat, but my mind gets spacey and my knees ache. It's a terrible feeling, so between that and my size 6 daughter giving me the stink eye when I make a poor choice, I'm moving to a better mental place. It is Hard. Keep at it.

I know that I didn't add anything that you don't already know. Just please keep at it. I quit smoking six or so years ago and I had to do many many do-overs before it finally took. I keep reminding myself of that fact now. I will keep doing the do-overs because sooner or later, I'll look back and realize I haven't had a do-over in a long long time.

Thanks SusyQ. It is that whole getting to the mental place thing and keeping in that place regardless of what is thrown our way. I really have no reason to complain as there are others with far more on their plates to deal with who are being very successful on their journies, but ... sometimes I just can't help myself.

Maybe, one day, I'll get soooo tired of doing the do-overs over that it will stick for good. I wonder if I have enough years left for that? ;)
