Okay so another day down. I was all pumped up to go to my kick boxing class tonight, but before I got off work I started coughing and felt like my lungs were on fire like when you are getting a bad chest cold. So I skipped it. I came home made a wonderful meal, still coughing, then I started to cough worse. I was feeling discouraged. Post on some friends Facebook page, and they really cheered me up. I took a hot bath and my chest felt better so I started walking. I got my 10,000 steps and 30 minutes of exercise in. I feel glad I pushed through. I need to thank Carol for the wonderful advice of honey and cinnamon in hot water,
Before this started when I was feeling sick, I would take it as a day of giving into all my cravings and binge like crazy. But today I made a small break through and walked it out instead. I still am coughing slightly and I still feel congested. But now I don't have the guilt of eating all the wrong things to make myself feel better, I feel better just for walking. I have read many times when you have a cold you can still work out and you do feel better. I am becoming a believer. Still hope it doesn't get worse. Really want to make the class tomorrow.
I made grilled mahi mahi for dinner with salsa rice and greens. Loved it. I took my rice and cooked it in salsa instead of water. I put Mediterranean spices on my fish and grilled in my Forman. The green beans where green giant with almonds. Easy quick meal and the whole things was only 476 calories. Not bad.
I know I post a lot but this is really helping me focus on what I am doing and why I am doing it. I want to thank all who take the time to read this. Knowing I have people who are encouraging and in my corner to make it is the best part of this. You all keep strong and keep it up. We can do this.
