As some of you know, I gained some weight back over family week, and I've been working hard to get it off before the end of this bet on Thursday.  Teresa Marie posted last Friday about a 3-day detox, and I decided to try it before returning to cycling.

Day one complete, and I did see a loss. It was weird, though. I'm not a smoothie/juicer kind of gal. I like my veggies solid, you know?  There were some high points and low points:

high points

1. I liked almost all that I had. The basic juice was yummy, earthy.  I felt in some ways that I was drinking the earth ( my dh says it's the beet ).

2. The super dieters tea definitely gave me a cleanse

3. I liked the smoothies

4 I drank over 100 oz water!

5. Got in all my exercise

low points:

1. Have to read directions!  My soup was supposed to have BOILED cauliflower!  I was so hungry I'd already pulverized it before I read that part, oops. Still ate a bowl, but I have a feeling it could have been much better (it would have to be)

2. One smoothie called for ground flax seeds and I'd bought whole seeds. A little TOO much texture in that smoothie!

3. Timing. You're supposed to drink one of these drinks every 2 hrs. That didn't really work for me. I felt like it took me almost an hour to get one finished.

4. Headache in the evening. The good news is that it was gone this am

5. Had 2 peanut butter crackers before bed.

All in all I'm glad I'm trying something new, and if I don't win the bet at least I know I gave it a good shot. Also, it makes carb cycling seem like a dream!
