Uggggghhhhh this is the worst way to start the week after yesterday's "Reward" Day on my carb cycling program!

Late last night I was backing out of a parking stall and got caught on something and broke the passenger side front bumper corner off my suv. I parked it in a closer spot to the house I was staying at and planned on dealing with it this morning.

Wake up today and as I'm leaving my friend's place I decide to check out how bad it is. There were actually only 2 clips left holding the entire bumper cover on. One of the fog lights was hanging and I ended up having to rip the entire thing off and drive home that way, the broken bumper laying in the back seat.

Today was supposed to be a low carb day. After that fiasco I came home and had 4 slices of toast with cottage cheese and hot sauce. This was after previously having toast and peanut butter for breakfast. I didn't care. Then I had a nap instead of exercising.

Fortunately I work with a mechanic who has his own auto body shop on the side and he came out to have a look and will help me source parts and fix it. So yay, a positive finally.

I decided to keep the 'positive' rolling and went to buy all my healthy groceries for the week. Right now I have 'butternut squash gratin' in the oven (which is basically like scalloped potatoes just with low carb butternut squash slices instead). I feel good about that.

Wanna know the funniest thing about this situation? 2 nights ago we were driving behind a vehicle missing a rear bumper. I had a laugh about how funny it looked, presuming there was probably an accident but I was still pretty caught up in how weird it looked. Well there I was less than 48 hours later ripping the remainder of my own front bumper off. Can you say Karma??
