When I think about MY ideal body, I think of toned arms, a flat belly (not the muffin top I have going on now), muscular thighs and glutes. I've never been one to count calories or really think about the amount of protiens, complex carbohydrates, fruits and veggitables I was eating on a daily basis. I met with a "Fitness Coach" at the gym today and she went over all of THAT with me. It was eye opening. Things I kind of knew in the back of my mind, but never paid attention or gave any effort.

Although I can stand to loose a few pounds of fat, loosing pounds has never my "goal" to know that I was getting "fit" - You know how muscle weighs more than fat? That number on the scale hasn't been a huge factor to me - ultimately I'll probably weigh MORE than I do NOW because as I loose my fat, I will be gaining MORE in muscle mass. And that is okay with me. I just want to look and feel good - for me.

I may not have worked hard to acheive my fitness goals in the past, but I am committed to doing it now. As I get older I feel my metabolism is changing - I feel like I have to work harder to see results. I don't want to be HERE 10 years form now having wished I would have taken care of my body, my health. There's no time like the present. So NOW is the time for me to get healthy and get fit...FOR LIFE!
