Ok I've solved the mystery of weight loss!! After 33 long years - I know the secret. I've been lifting weights!!! I know it's a risk for this DB - the muscle I'm building prob weighs more than the fat I'm losing and yes, I'm not noticing too much change on the scale BUT my core is smaller and tighter than its ever been.
Here are my secrets:
Choke down more than six 8 oc glasses of water a day... (that's tough for me). Ugh. When you wake up drink a hot glass of water with lemon before breakfast (BEFORE coffee). It wakes up your stomach and gets it ready to start breaking down food. Plus it alkanizes the body.
I've cut down on cheese/milk/white flour and white rice. My body just doesn't know what to do with dairy and breads. I still eat carbs but complex carbs only like bananas, brown rice, oatmeal and avocados.
When it comes to working out, I have to spend one hour + at the gym.
Weightlifting: Sun - Arms, Mon - Back, Tues - Chest, Wed - Legs, Thurs - Rest day, Fri - Arms, Sat - Back and so on and so on. Each day after lifting weights I do 30 minutes of cardio (usually eliptical). The weight is SLOWLY coming off but it's coming off. TRY this for two weeks and let me know if you start noticing results. Good luck.
