Hi there! Great blog! I just wanted to post my 2 cents on gaining muscle. Lifting weights won't actually make you gain muscle UNLESS you're eating at a nice surplus (which I doubt you are since you're doing a DB). If you see new muscles - cool! But it's because you're uncovering lean mass you already have. You can't gain muscle at a caloric deficit. Your body doesn't work like that. Any gains you see are likely water, because lifting does cause the muscles to retain water as they repair.

Cool. Thanks! I've def upped my protein. I feel like I'm eating more than I did before DB...ha. But at least I'm eating better - no processed foods. I've been lifting since November but actually started changing my diet when this DB started. I'm liking the results so far :)
