Amazing as it sounds, vinegary foods help me to stay away from the sugary things or satisfy my cravings for sweets--my downfall! One day I was looking for SOMETHING to put in my mouth--sweet--and it wasn't there. So I decided to have a pickled cherry pepper and found I was satisfied...after that it was my go-to. None on the shelf right now, so remembered that trick the other night, again craving sweets, and found I had 4-bean salad. It could be you just need to get crazy with your boredom in a creative way with foods. What haven't you tried that would be legal or close? Crunchy? Soft and smooth? Maybe something a little out of the ordinary? You say your feet hurt--why not treat your feet? A little soak with some nice essential oils and a pedi--either self-given or a treat.

I love your creative ideas, Jean! And a pickled cherry pepper sounds delicious. I've never had one!

Thanks for the compliment. I was blown away that a slightly spicy vinegary taste could satisfy, Kirsten...and low cal! A little lemon juice, either from the real deal, or apple cider vinegar in a cup of water is filling and so good for detoxing/alkinalyzing the body--a state in which disease has difficulty growing.
