You should set very short term goals. My 15yr old doesn't have ADD but she has tendencies that cause her to not stay focused if a goal feels too unreachable. As a result we have to keep everything in the here and now to keep her on track with her schoolwork. It's always what can she accomplish right now, this weekend, these next 3 days. Don't even set a weight goal, focus on what can you do these next three days like shopping, planning, eating to stay on track, the weight will come off as the result of that

All true. :-) We need it to happen now! AND if it's something we don't want to do, a neuropsychologist told me that for a person with ADHD it's a hundred times harder just to "make yourself do it and get it over with." Not an excuse, just a fact.
