I'm so late with my blogging today! I feel like that makes it a great time to talk about time ... It can be the hardest thing to find and make time for changing old ways and I think more often than not life getting in the way where it becomes a timing and convenience issue is what gets us off track rather than just bad food choices.

As of right now I am grossly behind on laundry, I need to grocery shop AGAIN, month end is upon us which means bill pay and budgeting not to mention all the rest and I got up at 4:45 this morning.

How you start your day is really key to how the rest of it will go and if any planning is going to occur in the morning that's when it becomes the most important time to really stick to the plan. I know for me getting off on the wrong foot means not making lunch which means a cheat, possibly getting to work later than I'd like which means possibly staying later which throws the evening off. Feeling lazy about grocery shopping because I hate the getting in and out of anywhere during the cold of winter, thinking I can get by with what I have, but can't and then dinner is blown too!

These are all things that can be avoided. There are ways to make sure that your day starts off right and the key is to avoid unnecessary distractions like checking emails etc that can wait til later. It's important to always focus your morning allotment of time towards setting the intention for the rest of the day. I make my packed lunch while my breakfast eggs are poaching. I brew coffee that I drink in between styling my hair so that I don't cave and stop at Starbucks and end up with a latte and a snack! I leave the emails and facebook til later when I know I can do that without running late! I'm not perfect but pushing through these little things end up counting towards how everything else goes, and my mood and overall feeling of control are just so much more manageable!

Here's to starting the day right!
