In the past, most times when I have tried to lose weight, I became primarily focused on exercise and only marginally focused on diet.  I was focusing on the wrong thing: research indicates that weight loss is 75% about food, and 25% about exercise.  So while exercise is unquestionably important, us folks with serious weight loss needs need to primarily focus on the food we consume.

Since I started dietbet a few weeks ago, almost by accident, I've been more rigorous with my diet, and only somewhat engaged on serious physical activity.  I had a week of business travel with very little physical activity.  The good news is that I still managed to lose a respectable amount of weight.

So dietbetters - get out there, and do your exercise.  But if you want to win at dietbet, get serious about what you are eating.  i use MyFitnessPal and find it an invaluable part of my weight loss journey.

Good luck!
