Nailed It...

I love your perspective on your weight loss. You're so realistic and healthy, which shows your a good inspiration for others. I find it very hard to read or hear stories from people who lose/have lost weight when it's not healthy. For instance, one of my friends wanted (didn't need to, though) lose some weight so she decided to lose 4 kg (8 lbs) in one week. So I told her she'll probably gain it all back the week after if she'll go back to her eating habits now. Guess what she said? "Oh yes I probably gain back 2 kg but it will be muscle". Seriously... some people?! I'm very happy to read your blogposts and see how far you've come and how you think about this journey. It's refreshing! :) Taking a break will be good, not to focus too much on weight loss. I'm pretty sure that will even allow you to still succeed! Some people do really well when they lose up a little. Again, great job and keep up the amazing work! 90 lbs, wow! ;)

What a lovely message to wake up to! I do try to keep a really positive, realistic spin on my journey. This was a lot less about weight loss for me and more about living a full and rich life. I need a strong body to be able to do that for my kids. Weight loss has been the consequence of eating better and being more active, but it was never the goal- not until very recently. Now I am trying to alternate between short term goals of weight loss and fitness, so that I don't get too hyper focused on 'numbers'. Being healthy is a lot more than just numbers on a scale. And I think that ultimately most people do understand that- especially those in this type of a bet :)
