Day 39

Yesterday was an ok day. Breakfast and lunch were great. For the first time in a while I made a Spinach, Apple, and Cranberry Salad and it was DELICIOUS. Very filling.

I got home yesterday and put on my workout gear. It was my cross-training day. I did squats, kicks, and bridges but after about 40 minutes I realized I wasn't really into it and stopped. Its weird. I just didn't feel like doing anything! It wasn't a rest day per say but I didn't go as hard as I could have. But hey I moved around for 40 minutes and somehow managed to burn almost 200 calories that has to count for something right?

Then I made and ate dinner. It was around 7:00PM. This is good and bad. Good because I have more time to read, bad because I have enough time for cravings and boy did they hit me. You know how they say don't keep temptations in the house? Yeah, well there's a reason. I bought this magnificent
chocolate covered almond chocolate ice cream bar a couple of weeks ago and I totally forgot about it. I recently discovered it again this past weekend (WHY) and it's been on my mind ever since then. With all that time to think about it well, the temptation won. I don't feel too bad about it. I was over 400 calories yesterday (Yikes!) But I have been doing very good this week. If anything I will no longer be tempted by it because its gone.

Today I am facing another trial. My friend who is leaving Japan next month after being here for three years is hosting a pizza party. As you know my favorite food, in this whole, wide world, is pizza. But I am going to stay strong. I am going to make steak, asaparagus, and cauliflower and bring it with me. I will have a glass of wine. I will have a slice of pizza but that is it. I will also go home early.

I have a scheduled run today. I'm sure if I run an extra kilometer or two I will be fine calorie wise. Gah. It's hard to have a life and lose weight. But I refuse to be a victim. I have a choice. I will choose to be healthy.
