Ok so I made it through my first work week pretty smoothly. I was pretty "hangry" the first few days while I detoxed and missed coffee with sweet cream and all that sugar and bread that I love.

Finding easy ready to grab snacks is the most important thing for me....so I have roasted edaname and turkey jerky, celery sticks etc. near by.

South Beach is designed for you to break a sugar addiction with two weeks free of sugar and carbs, which is tough because carbs are in everything....so I have to read all the labels and check things like salad dressing even.

The hardest part for me is Friday nights which is relaxing with pizza and wine and movies. So that is completely off limits, with no pizza no wine....but I made it through with a shrimp salad and cheated a little with a very high end shot of tequila and ginger ale ....and slept like a baby. 

After a nice work out this a.m. I blanched fresh spinach and had eggs, turkey bacon, spinach and feta omelette.  Yes, I'm a happy girl.

I feel much better, am clearer headed and am getting more done! Can't wait to weign in next time.
