I have had 3 more LBs to lose for the last week. Hoping to see a drop in these last few days, I have been in point with my workouts, and about 90% on diet. The struggle and mind games are real! About to jump in this exercise bike and punish some calories, let’s finish this game strong!

  • Okay, so I feel kinda dumb posting this, but I think I’m a few stages behind everyone else in the eating healthy game! Haha. So be kind. My “recipe” is more like a hack. I grew up with a meat and potatoes mentality and vegetables were basically non-existent. Which means now that I’m all grown up, veggies are not my favorite. So for me to eat healthy, I’m just trying to not eat carbs all day and get my veggies in. Lately my favorite “recipe” is sautéing some onion and fresh green beans with a tablespoon of Hormels real bacon bits. The 25 calories can totally be worked into my daily amount and it makes the green beans AMAZING! Hopefully someday I’ll be able to drop the bacon, but for now, it’s my favorite.

  • Week #3 challenge: this is my mid-week go-to. By the middle of the week, I've usually eaten most of my meal prep, or I'm tired of the same things. So, I grab any bagged salad, split the bag and all the fixins in half (Dave the other half for tomorrow!). Load it down with any fruits or veggies that need to be cleaned off the counter or out of the fridge, top it with a protein, flax seed, and chia seeds. (Pictured here is an Asian salad with extra carrots, onion, shredded chicken breast, flax, and chia seeds.)

  • My favorite breakfast smoothie!
    -Fill you cup w your favorite frozen berries
    -add enough almond milk to help it blend. Maybe 1/3 cup for my individual serving
    -add vanilla to you liking
    -add vanilla protein powder
    About 260 calories in two cups

I love smoothies! I always try to add some spinach to mine as well, because it seems to have a more mild taste and I suck at eating greens the rest of the day. Looks delicious!

  • Decided to skip the snowblower and shovel my driveway today! That might not seem like a 30 minute workout, but in Alaska in December- we exchange sweaty selfies for frozen ones! 😉 (and yes, the snow is as tall as my head.)

I finally got my initial weigh in submitted. Talk about procrastinating.

I'm a school teacher and currently on maternity leave with my second baby and I have a toddler. Last summer I had a lot of success with Diet Bet and Beach Body. I'm having a horrible time getting motivated or feeling like I have any time for myself ao i decided to jump back into a bet.

Anyone have any tips for making time to workout? I want to get back into the habit now before I got back to work after Christmas.

Oh Shylie! I feel you. It is sooo hard with little ones - I never knew until I had a little one. I would try to find baby-wearing workouts when my baby was smaller. That seemed to be the only way I could work anything in (he wanted to be held allll the time).
