It's Monday - Don't forget to be awesome!
As we roll into week two, let's talk about snacks!
**Snacking often gets a bad rap when it comes to working toward a healthy weight loss, but in reality, snacking is a perfectly healthy habit, provided you’re making thoughtful choices as to which foods you’re nibbling on.
**Think of a healthy snack as a mini meal (be mindful of portions!). A healthy snack has some protein, carbs, and healthy fats. Bonus points for fiber, as that helps fill you up and slows digestion, leaving you feeling fuller longer and keeps you out of the hangry zone :)
**A couple of my favorite snacks are frozen banana “ice cream” and celery stalks with sunflower butter. YUM! Remember, the more fruits and veggies you can sneak into your snacks, the better!
