I started a Kickstarter at the same time as this Transformer. It felt like a good idea for the first month because the goals are similar, but now I’m wondering if I should do the same for the second month. Does anyone else double up with the Transformer and the Kickstarter?

I always do a 2 or 3 at a time but beware; at first I thought "if I'm gonna lose 4 pounds in 4 weeks (example) for this one, I will do the same for more of them". I started like 6-7-8 at the same time and didn't reach my goal, lost a lot of $$!

Hi there! Where do you live and what are your goals? What’s your plan to get to your goals? Since we’re together for 6 months I’d love to know more about your weight loss journey.

I’m from Northern California. I want to lose 80 pounds and be strong again. For this Transformer I’d love to lose half of that, so 40 pounds. I’ve lost over 100 pounds before - with DietBets. I’m ready to do it again, but this time with a maintenance plan in place. I don’t want to be old & fat. I want to be old & strong! I’m doing hyper ketosis and it’s working. 5 pounds off in 5 days! I’m doing StepBets & plan to add 2-3 days of strength training starting this week. 💪

I barely squeeked by this month. Next month will be a push I'm sure.
The kickstarter i was in the first month had extra challenges each week (have any of you done kickstarters with Coach Jenn?). I think I might even just try to do those again. The final week challenge was the previous weeks challenges all combined so it was 64 oz of water, get at least 30 min of exercise, and eat at least 5 servings of fruits or veggies. I might have to start tracking calories again but if there are days I can't if I can just try to do that it it might still help.
For the last week my husband started going for 30 min walks ever night and asked me to help make sure he doesn't eat out this month and is getting at least 6km in steps. I am supposed to kick him out of the house if he hasn't done his steps hahaha. He listens to an audio book while he walks.

Also, if this is a 6 month challenge, why do we have to lose most of it (9%) in 4 months? I feel like that defeats the purpose of having 6 months lol

You don't technically have to lose it all for the monthly weigh ins. They are like check ins and there is a pot attached to them but half of all the bets go to the final pot. You can win the first month and lose the next 2 and then win again. They probably pace it out that way because most people lose the lost at the start of a challenge and of being more determined and aware. Later it gets harder after those initial pounds are off so they make the final few months less. The final month is set up to basically be a maintain month but can also be a catch up month to still get the final pot. I think you have to have lost 6% by the 5th month to do the 6th month just so that people aren't doing unhealthy things to push to lose 10% in one month or something. But yah you still have the full 6 months to win the final and biggest pot. Obviously you want you aim to win the other months but don't beat yourself up if you only do 2% a month instead of 3% these first 2 months or you miss month and catch up later that's still a win. I don't know if any of that made sense but I hope you don't get too discouraged and just keep pressing on. If you don't make a monthly check in let it fuel your fire to work harder to meet the next one. You got this!

In order to win the round 4, you must hit the 9%. In order to win round 5, you have to hit 10%. This is a mandatory weigh in, as you need to hit at least 6% to make sure you lose safely. Each of these rounds are only half of the winnings and the other half goes to round 6, where you maintain the 10% weight loss

Me too! This weekend I would do decent through the day but then have like 7 unhealthy snacks at the nights and then Sunday was a birthday and anniversary party. :sweat_smile:
But I do always find these first week's is just a lot of learning how much I was overeating (and over-snacking) before and how to make those adjustments. So here is to a weekend of lessons lol onward we treck. You're right we got this. :grinning:
