I still have 2.5 pounds to go in order to win next week. And I definitely have the pounds to lose. It is frustrating not seeing the scale move like I want it too, but I’ll keep on keeping on. My diet has been within my macros, and the only thing I can think of to do better is drink more water and eat more fiber. I haven’t had a whoosh yet in this game like I normally do. Hopefully final weigh in is to my favor, but if not, I definitely feel stronger doing the BODi workouts an having the accountability of this game.

  • Lower body lift today. 10 Rounds, W2D4. My legs were on fire this morning. I’m finishing up this afternoon with a 3mph walk on the treadmill to keep my step goals in line.

Are you feeling hungry in the evening and need a crunchy snack?

First!! Make sure you are truly hungry and you aren’t just wanting to snack because you're bored or because snacking has become a habit as soon as you get to relax for the evening.

Now, if you are TRULY HUNGRY and need a little snack, here are some suggestions…

- Rice cakes with toppings of your choice (cottage cheese, PB, Greek yogurt, hummus, etc)
- Greek yogurt with a handful of low/no sugar cereal (Chex, plain cheerios)
- Celery w/ Peanut butter
- Carrots/celery/cucumbers/peppers w/ hummus
- Apple w/ Peanut Butter

Marinated onions, tomatoes and cucumbers in Italian dressing. When opening a new bottle of Italian dressing I do not shake the oil up, I drain it out, then shake the bottle. Less fat.

I have a sweet tooth so love dates, cut in half fill with peanut butter and dip in melted dark chocolate and place in freezer in airtight container. Soooo good

I need snacks suggestions for luteal phase of perimenopause. Period should start in 8-10 days.

My meals are well planned. Hitting my macros. I drink plenty of water. Peeing clear all day!
but sometimes I want a little something.

I can talk myself out of it most of the time, be an grown up. I do have in my day a snack planned but not necessarily assigned to something.

I have done in the past: dates with peanut butter.
Orange with a piece of dark chocolate.
Pumpkin seeds.
I usually want something sweet but can be savory.

For a sweet treat I love fat free Greek yogurt mixed with frozen berries. I sweeten it with a bit of sugar free maple syrup or sugar free Torani coffee syrup. With the berries being frozen, is starts to freeze the yogurt too, and turns it into a soft serve ice cream consistency. I also love Built Puff protein bars. For a savory snack I’ve been liking the Quest tortilla chips lately. Especially the chili lime flavor.

When I joined this Dietbet I didn’t know who Joel was, just joined to lose weight and win $ 😁 But I downloaded the BODi app and started the beginner workouts on LIIFT4. I’m on day 3 and LOVING it so far!

  • Weight loss is not linear. I always have to look at the big picture when I see a spike. It could be for many reasons. High sodium, hard workouts and not drinking enough water, didn’t have a BM the day before. Keep on keeping on, and if the trend goes down over time, then everything is going perfectly.

    My holiday spike was crazy, but it’s going down!
