  • Hi everyone! I am a 19 year old college student staying at my university for Thanksgiving Break and this is what my meals will look like every day for the next week, a total of 1,141 calories. My goal is 1,100-1,200 calories, preferably right in the middle (which I reached today!)

What are your plans for thanksgiving? (:

To Kawasexigirl ,

At 5"7 and 125lbs, my BMI will be 19.6. I will be in the range of "normal weight". Underweight would be 18.4 and below. There is nothing to worry about (:

Amber R.

Good job girl!! Keep killing it!!!:clap:

I must say that this has been my best round of Diet bet I have ever done. Trying Vegan has really agreed with me but I still have mill in coffee so maybe I am more of a vegetarian which is great. I have never lost so much weight before I started this diet. The community is absolutely amazing and always cheering each other. I will truly miss checking in everyday and seeing how everyone else is doing. See you next yearand Happy holidays to all ( I know its early but I wont be able to right another message after this day I think) Cant wait for the next one. Cheers

I’m doing vegan as well and dropped 20 lbs pretty quickly. I use almond milk or creamer which only has a milk derivative in it. Anytime I cheat with a little cheese or sour cream my stomach reminds me just how much it hates that.

Really crazy how well being a vegan fits for a human!

I know right. I loved every moment. Just want to carry on with it. Going to do another diet bet next year.

I have found the money to be SUPER motivating too! I want to find another one as well.

Gina P.

We'll make about $10-18 net, plus the $35 back. Not a ton but very motivating for me too! See you in the next one maybe

  • Lets start a thread together:

Not everything works for everyone but you may just find in the comments someone you can relate too that may help you out to hit your goals!!

What have you done/changed in your diet or exercise that has helped you?

    - Vegan
    - Paleo
    - Keto
    - Intermittent fasting
    - You name it!!!!!

How did it help? Are you still doing it? What were your learning curves? Why did you decide that was the right thing for you?

    Me:

I chose veganism. It was the healthiest way I could eat clean and not have to focus on calories while getting 200% more nutrients than my old crappy diet.

    Check out on Netflix:
    - What the Health
    - Game Changers

I also am giving intermittent fasting a chance just to see what the hype is about. So far its been an instant way to cut calories as I dont have time to put food in my mouth 24 Hr a day.

As for the gym- Im limited due to a major accident I had, but I go to the classes (yoga, zumba, body pump, etc) and just make sure that I sweat and work hard enough that I have to take pause part way through the class.

So what about you? What were you brave enough to change and try and why and how is it going?

I use My Fitness Pal to track calories and exercise. I pay attention to making sure I get veggies and fruit every day

MJ

Tracking calories in My Fitness Pal is the only thing that works for me. I just don’t like doing it!

I'm vegetarian 90% of the time (guess I'm flexitarian that hard leans veg?)

I have trouble eating meat, so I limit my intake of it, and I feel a lot better doing so. I'm almost 3 months post partum, so I have to eat more than other losing weight to keep up some semblance of breast milk supply, lol. And, I had a cesarean section, so I have some issues with exercises, still so I'm mostly focusing on eating balanced meals and not snacking on too many processed things.

I love weight lifting and body weight exercises, like planks and mountain climbers.

Started my journey again June 1st this year and have lost 55lbs since then! I've had the most success with intermittent and extended fasting and actually love it! I try to fast for at least 20 hrs a day and have done a couple 36-72hr fasts. It took me a long time to build up to that, but feels amazing to know I'm letting my body heal and preventing diabetes, cancer, alzheimers, heart disease and more. Plus I have more energy and just feel lighter. When I do eat, I eat mostly carnivore/keto and love me a good ribeye!
Dr Jason Fung & Dr Ken Berry talk a lot about fasting on YouTube and have changed my life for the better forever.

I haven’t counted any calories. I just drank water exclusively (big soda drinker normally) and I’ve ridden my Peloton every day for at least 30 minutes except one day. Not eating out as much has helped too. More fruits and veggies and less Wendy’s. It’s amazing what eating healthier and exercising can do!

Walk-By-Faith

Keto/ Carnivore & 20/4 fast...lots of water, walking and strength training...and found out sleep is key. First and foremost...God at the center of it all. My body is a temple of the Living God. I gotta respect that and take care of it.

Great post! I’m vegan. :green_heart: I would also recommend Forks Over Knives documentary. I think it’s on Netflix. That’s what inspired my partner and I to become plant based. We’ve since become truly vegan after educating ourselves on the impact on the environment and also the horrific treatment of animals. If everyone would go vegan we could save this planet and ourselves! :green_heart: :earth_americas: :green_heart:

I started a year ago on Dukan (hi lean protein, low carb), have migrated over to Keto for the past 2 months and added Intermittent Fasting this month. I love the IF way of life.
