Looking for some advice! I’ve lost 2lbs and that’s where I’m staying, so frustrating 😔 I’ve been tracking calories and doing 30mins of hiit. I’ve never been one to know what to do at the gym so if anyone has any advice on workouts or better snacks/meals I’d appreciate it!😊

As for the workouts, if you’re not opposed to paying for an app, I really like the bodybuilding.com app doing livefit workouts. It’s run by Jamie eason and it’s a 12 week program and I really liked not having to think about the workouts. It times you, Kels track of weights and sets

Happy Sunday friends - how are you using today to prepare yourself for another successful week ahead?? Is it a rest day so you are ready to be refreshed and energized for the gym tomorrow or are you getting your sweat on today? Even if today is not a scheduled workout day be mindful that any type of movement - short walks, cleaning, or even dancing around a bit to some of your favorite tunes help to get your heart rate up a bit during the day to keep active! I’m currently doing so light cardio and already have a fridge packed with meal prep for the week. No excuses over here for not making good choices this week - I hope you can set yourself up for success this week similarly with just a little mindful prepping and planning today!

  • Happy almost weekend friends! What are your plans for this weekend, but MORE IMPORTANTLY, what are your plans to stay on track during them to keep up your momentum in this game? I encourage you NOW to schedule when you will get your workouts done during the week and if you have any events going on that will involve splurges, prioritize what is important for you to splurge on and don’t let the entire weekend become a free for all. You got this!!!

    Currently typing this before 7AM while sweating it out on my elliptical. I plan on working out each day, and at a Bachelorette party I have tomorrow I’m bringing veggies and dip and regular seltzer’s as my contribution. Going to try to snack more on veggies than the other goodies and have more regular water seltzer’s than alcohol!

Saturdays are date nights with my hubby...planning to limit my wine intake and drink tons of water! I once heard "don't let the weekend be your weak end" and it stuck through the years. I love that!!

No plans for the weekend. I actually love a low-key weekend once in a while. The hubs is working so I'm getting my steps and workouts in while he's gone. Doing some yardwork too....that counts as a workout, right? Happy Friday everyone!!

Yes! It's the "simply 60" brand balsamic. It's my absolute FAVORITE! It's sold near the produce at the grocery store. Made w greek dressing so kept cold!

  • Here’s your hump day reminder to DRINK UP and stay hydrated! Drinking enough water helps flush your system out, helps keeps you full, and helps keep your body operating as it should! I keep a big jug of lemon water on my work desk and refill it a LOT through out the day. When I’m done it forces me to get off my butt for a minute or two and head downstairs to refill. I also love regular seltzer water for a little extra flavor and bubbles. Do you track how much water your drink daily or implement any tips/tricks to keep yourself accountable to be drinking enough daily?

I have a 40oz bottle that I fill at LEAST twice a day. I love adding lemon to mine as well! An extra burst of vitamin c AND it tastes delish!

I fill up 86oz in 3 water bottles so I don’t have to remember how many times I fill up a bottle. I prefer water from my house over the tap water at work even though it’s filtered. It still has a funky taste :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

  • Anyone cook anything yummy this weekend? It was HOT in PA so I made a few veggie side dishes to go with dinner last night including lightened up broccoli salad. I loosely followed this recipe: www.hummusapien.c… which uses Greek yogurt instead of Mayo. It doesn’t call for any cheese either but I did chop up a small amount of bacon to add to it. Overall it’s still a great healthier way to eat a lot of broccoli with some yummy flavor on a hot day!!!

We grill a lot, 4-5 nights per week. I grilled some delicious New York steaks, with oven roasted asparagus and garlic smashed potatoes. We also have a ton of zucchini coming from the garden and those get grilled or pan sautéed.

Jessica we got our first CSA farm share this week and it had two baby zucchini in it. I can’t wait for when they really come in to use them in alllll the recipes hah

  • I posted this on my feed yesterday but wanted to add it here as a reminder that a goal without a PLAN is pointless. If you want to be successful at losing the 4% during this game you need to set some tangible action items that are realistic for you to stick with during the game. I urge you at the beginning of this week to set some additional goals besides just “lose weight” that will help you get there! Mine are listed below! Great some for yourself and stick them on your fridge, create a calendar that you can mark off each day you are successful in sticking to your goals, do SOMETHING that will help keep them top of mind to help you succeed with this game!
