Nice work Crystal. I haven't had any major a-ha moments either, but I did have what I call moments of discovery. 1. Fruit or any other healthy food can bring just as much pleasure as unhealthy foods (happened to me when I had a basket of juicy blackberries). 2. I won't care in two days if I deprived myself of something I would like (happened when I recalled craving take out pizza while eating my salad; two days later I was happy I stuck with the salad and didn't really want that pizza anymore). 3. All my little victories are worth celebrating (didn't cave and go out for dinner last night? pat on the back. packed a healthy lunch with reasonable portions? pat on the back. took the stairs to get to the main floor from my office. pat on the back.) For me, it's important to note that I make hundreds of good decisions in a day. It helps me realize that I'm really doing a lot more to help myself than will be reflected on the scale.
