Wow your in both Aaron's $250 and Heidi and Chris's bets with me. How are you doing reaching for your goal? Are things going OK for you? Are you new or an old hand at these DBs? If new, welcome aboard. Any way round, nice to play with you.

I started over 200 and managed to loose and regain and reloose all of about 10-12 pounds before joining Diet Bet. I highly recommend one of the 6 month bets. They're a bit easier, only 3% per month for the first couple of months, then less and less.
I liked the idea of the game, but it was the supportive community that really got me going. Then once the weight began to come off, I got really motivated and began to believe I could get down to a healthy weight. I'm not sure it's the money for me, although that plays a part, I think it's more the public commitment and not wanting to fail either myself or my DB friends.
You can do this. Speak out on the boards, get involved we'll revel in your accomplishments and try to pick you up when you fall. And we are always willing to talk about and listen to anything diet. My family and friends got sick of that topic long ago. Welcome.

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply! I couldn't find me way back to this cheerboard, ha! Thanks for the reply, your success is truly inspiring to me KT. My starting weight was 199 and I am 5'4" so I have a long journey ahead of me. It's great to see others doing so well! I too believe the public commitment is key. Also I am extremely frugal and the thought of losing $280 is truly motivating me!! Thanks for the welcome and guidance :)
