Figure out what works for you. I grew up hearing “don’t weigh yourself daily” but I THRIVE on the knowledgr of a daily check in and nothing derails me faster than the not knowing. Figure out what works for you and stick to it.

Calorie deficit tracker! I have tried to lose weight for years thinking I was eating right only to quit when I wasn't seeing results. I finally locked in and actually track what I eat and focus on high protein and fiber and have actually now lost 30 lbs since last August!
