Thanks for sharing. I identify with so much of your post! I hope that you can figure out a good work/workout/eating balance that will leave you with a better feeling of accomplishment in all aspects of your journey. Know that you can always vent here - sometimes it just helps to get those emotions out and then you can refocus on the positive and leave the negative behind!

I just read an article this morning from NerdFitness.com that said, "It's okay to make mistakes, just don't make the same one twice." Basically, and like you already know, you can learn from this and then keep moving forward. While you might not make this round, you're not down for the count in this game, in your life, or in your journey. Keep pushing onward--we can do this!

All week at work I'm having big salads and "saving up" my calories for the feasting at the end of the week. I haven't been invited to a bunch of them, so it will probably be a little easier for me. I've often heard a trick of filling up on salad or something before a dinner party to cut down on eating all the uncontrolled temptations. Then when there, a suggestion recently given to me is to eat a plate of veggies first, then get some protein in, then top off with the other stuff.

Great post - thanks for sharing your story. It sounds like your head is in the right place and that speaks volumes towards being successful!
